Genius Group has announced a $1.2 billion capital plan to grow its AI and Bitcoin treasuries, giving investors exposure to two fast growing markets. The AI-powered education company plans to raise funds through preferred securities to avoid dilution of ordinary shareholders, as it targets $2 billion in total assets by 2031.
Genius Group Targets $1.6B for Dual Treasury
Genius Group announced the plan on August 27, 2026, aiming to build an $800 million AI Treasury and an $827 million Bitcoin Treasury. Together, the two treasuries could reach about $1.63 billion.
The plan follows the company’s earlier move into AI investments. On May 27, Genius Group approved its AI Treasury, called the AGI Infinity Portfolio, with an initial target of up to $100 million.
The company then made its first AI investments on June 1, buying exposure to companies such as SpaceX, Anthropic and OpenAI. It also bought 10,000 shares of Destiny Tech100 and 800 shares of Fundrise Innovation Fund.

Since then, Genius Group says some of its AI investments have grown strongly.
Bitcoin Treasury Gets $827M Target
Bitcoin is the second key part of Genius Group’s plan. The company first started its Bitcoin Treasury in November 2024, but later sold its Bitcoin holdings and planned to return to the market when conditions improved.
Genius Group now plans to restart Bitcoin purchases in Q4 2026, with a long-term target of $827 million in Bitcoin holdings.
The company sees Bitcoin as a long-term asset, while its AI Treasury focuses on the expected growth of the AI industry.
To fund both plans, Genius Group plans to use its existing $1.2 billion SEC registration to issue preferred securities.

Genius Group Using Preferred Securities To Raise $1.2B Fund
Genius Group plans to use perpetual preferred securities to fund its AI and Bitcoin treasuries without directly diluting ordinary shareholders. The company is targeting an initial $12.5 million raise and is in talks with investment banks about the offering.
CEO Roger James Hamilton said,
“Perpetual preferred capital is the ideal instrument to accelerate the growth of our NAVPS and build our dual treasuries without diluting our shareholders.”
Genius Group currently has $106.6 million in net assets and aims to reach $2 billion in total assets by FY2031. It also expects its net asset value per share to reach $2 to $4 over the next five years.
Shareholders have approved the issuance of preferred shares and the repurchase of up to 20% of ordinary shares.
The final size, dividend rate, and timing of the offering are still being decided.
