Morpho Whale Accumulation Grows, But Price Remains Range-Bound—Here’s What It Means

Morpho’s price has maintained significant strength since the start of 2026, which has kept the volatility elevated within the crypto market. The token has been forming consecutive higher highs and lows as the bulls have remained dominant. The price is currently consolidating below $2, while on-chain activity witnesses a rise in whale transactions, network growth, and exchange outflows.

Despite the strengthening on-chain fundamentals, MORPHO’s price remains trapped within a consolidation range. This highlights a divergence between investor accumulation and short-term market performance. As large holders continue withdrawing tokens from exchanges, traders are now assessing whether the latest on-chain signals could pave the way for the token’s next major price move.

Santiment Data Signals Growing Investor Conviction

According to Santiment, MORPHO’s on-chain activity witnessed a sharp uptick across multiple key metrics, pointing to renewed participation from both large investors and new users. The protocol recorded 68 whale transactions worth over $100,000 in a single day, marking the highest daily count since October 2, 2025. Such spikes in whale activity typically indicate increased participation from high-net-worth investors, often preceding periods of elevated market volatility.

At the same time, network growth climbed to 337 new wallet addresses, the strongest daily increase since March 15, 2026. Rising network growth suggests fresh users are entering the ecosystem, reflecting expanding adoption rather than activity driven solely by existing holders.

Adding to the bullish on-chain picture, approximately 4.35 million MORPHO was withdrawn from centralized exchanges, representing the largest single-day exchange outflow since February 4, 2026. Large exchange outflows are generally viewed as a sign of accumulation, as investors move tokens into self-custody or long-term storage, reducing the immediately available supply for selling.

The convergence of rising whale participation, accelerating network growth, and declining exchange balances suggests investor conviction has strengthened, even as MORPHO’s price continues to trade within a consolidation range.

Price Consolidates Despite Strong On-Chain Momentum

Despite the surge in whale accumulation and exchange outflows, MORPHO has yet to translate its improving on-chain fundamentals into a sustained price rally. The token continues to trade within an ascending channel, reflecting a broader consolidation phase as buyers and sellers remain evenly matched.

The Volume Profile indicates that MORPHO is currently hovering near the Point of Control (PoC) around $1.93, the price level that has witnessed the highest trading activity over the analyzed period. This suggests the market is in equilibrium, with neither bulls nor bears establishing clear control.

Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) has slipped below its signal line and is trading around 47, indicating weakening short-term momentum. Although the indicator has moved away from overbought conditions, it has yet to enter oversold territory, leaving room for either a recovery or further downside.

The immediate resistance remains near $2.20, where MORPHO has faced multiple rejections over recent months. On the downside, the lower boundary of the ascending channel around $1.60 serves as the key support. A decisive breakout above resistance could shift momentum in favor of buyers, while a loss of channel support may expose the token to a deeper pullback despite its strengthening on-chain metrics.

Can On-Chain Strength Fuel MORPHO’s Next Rally?

Morpho’s latest on-chain metrics paint a picture of strengthening investor confidence, even as price remains locked in consolidation. With 68 whale transactions, 337 new wallet addresses, and 4.35 million MORPHO withdrawn from exchanges in a single day, the protocol has recorded its strongest on-chain activity in months.

However, the technical chart suggests the market is still waiting for confirmation. Until the MORPHO price breaks above the $2.20 resistance, the recent accumulation is unlikely to transform into bullish momentum. If buyers succeed in reclaiming this level, the combination of declining exchange supply, rising whale participation, and growing ecosystem adoption could provide a stronger foundation for the next leg higher. Conversely, continued rejection below resistance may extend the current consolidation despite the improving on-chain backdrop.
